I know I haven't been that great at blogging lately, but let me tell you what we've been up to.
Ryan, of course is busy working. He does a great job supporting us and works really hard. He tries to maintain a balance between work and family, which can be stressful as we all demand his time! He also has been playing ward basketball. His team is ranked number one. They are in tournament play now, with a game tomorrow night and then hopefully the Championship Game on Thurs. I think he's really enjoyed playing and it's been a great way for us to make friends in our new ward.
I also have been busy with ward basketball. The Women haven't had a game since Feb, until this last Saturday since it was the tournament. We also were ranked number one. I didn't play in our first tournament game because I am almost 24 weeks pregnant now. But sitting on the side lines was more than I could handle, so I did play in the championship game. Unfortunately we lost that game, but it was fun. Though I won't be playing again until I'm no longer pregnant as I am plenty sore. I also have been coaching the YW's basketball team. They were ranked number 4 in the tournament, but we won all our games and are the champions. It was fun to coach them, though it took time and patience:) I now have an official calling in the ward, I'm the Ward Costume Coordinator! What?!?! Funny, right? Well, it pretty much means that I am in charge of organizing and making the costumes for the YM and YW in our ward who will be attending the Youth Conference this summer. They are joining with 7 other stakes to put on a huge dance show at a local high school football stadium. The costumes are already designed and we'll get all the fabric from the stake, so I just need to make sure it all stays organized and gets finished. Good thing my mom made sure I can sew, even if I'm still not that great at it:) Of course I'll miss the big performance since it happens in July right when I am due.
I have also been busy at home. We finally have all our furniture (we even got a piano) and are all set up. I have been making a few Easter/Spring decorations that I'll post later. We finally got some gardening supplies so I can start to fix up the small yard we have. I am also trying to spring clean our home. I swear the windows haven't been cleaned in years!!! Can't wait for the rest of the dirt to come out. Just goes to prove that cleaning services (which is what the previous tenants used) just aren't as good as doing it yourself.
Asher has been busy undoing all my cleaning:) He also goes to day care 2-3 times a week during my water aerobics classes. He then goes with me to story book time at the library. It's been great that we've found some activities just for him. He also loves when we are outside. We go on several walks to buy groceries throughout the week and to go to the park. He loves the park and plays without fear on all the equipment. Other than that, he keeps busy at home running from one play area to the next. He is a fun, healthy kid.
Well, that's what we've been up to. I know it's been a long post and no pictures so I'll try to post more pictures next time and fewer words!
