Last post of 2014

 We've been really busy this month. 

 We started off with a visit from Robert.  He came for a work conference and we met him at the National Zoo to see the zoo lights!

We drove to Rhode Island to spend the week of Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Crockett.

 The kids loved spending time with their grandparents.

 Asher was the first to wake up and he was so excited to see if Santa had brought him a present.

It was a good Christmas and we were glad to visit with family.  Of course now everyone is sick and poor Emmet had a temperature of 102.5.  Whenever we go anywhere for the holidays we get so sick.  Maybe next year we'll stay home!

Happy Holidays from the Crockett's

 Our 2014 has been eventful and busy. 

 Our biggest event was the addition of Emmet!  He is a very happy baby.  The kids love him so much and have been so happy to always play with him.  Emmet loves to be played with, held, tickled, and he loves to eat:)  He smiles all the time.  It is impossible to be with Emmet and not smile back:)

        

 Vaden is now a little girl and has her own opinion about everything.  She is kind and makes sure that everyone is included.  She is learning to talk more and more and lets us know what she wants.  She loves both her brothers and is the only one allowed to call Asher "Asher-Boy."  She also has her Daddy wrapped around her finger.

 

  Asher is a great big brother.  He is a good boy and loves to learn.  He loves being silly and will often make everyone laugh.  He has made several friends in the ward and at the gym and they are always excited when Asher is around to play with.  He started a co-op preschool this year; he know all his numbers and letters and is a very attentive student.  I can't believe he will be in primary next year!

 Both Asher and Vaden started gymnastics this year and are very coordinated and athletic.  They love being active and love their gymnastics class, their kids fit class, and their storybook time.  They play really well together, but they do know how to push each others buttons already.

They both help out with Emmet.  Emmet adores both his siblings and loves to watch them and have their attention.  

 

Ryan is busy with work and helping out at home.  He has been amazing with how he manages his work and family life (I couldn't do it without him).  He is a patent examiner with the USPTO, the ward clerk, and an amazing father and husband.  The kids love when Daddy is home!!!

I am busy at home with the kids and taking them to all their activities.  I teach Asher preschool every 3rd week and find that I like being a teacher.  I am the RS Meeting Coordinator and love my calling of organizing the monthly activities for the RS women.  I just organized a craft day that was pretty successful.  I like making crafts for our home and toys for the kids.

 We have grown as a family this year (literally) and look forward to the changes that the new year will bring for us.

Thanksgiving

 My sister, Kasey and her family flew in to Virginia to visit us over the holiday.  We spent Thanksgiving Day in Maryland with John and Julie and their family, then we traveled to WIlliamsburg to visit Richard and Emily over the weekend.

 In Williamsburg we went to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens.

 Richard and Emily helped us with the kiddos.

 Asher would only go on the kid rides, but was very happy to do it.

 We watched the Christmas Tree change colors to music.  The kids were fascinated and watched forever!

 We also went to the Penguin exhibit.  The kids loved it and wanted to watch all the penguins.

 Of course this was the one time that the kids got out of the stroller because they weren't allowed...

 and of course Vaden got lost!  It was super scary.  She followed the people in front of us out of the exhibit without us realizing and couldn't be found for like 5 minutes.  She finally came running back.  I think she was terrified of the people trying to help her!

 At Richard and Emily's house the kids tried on the motorcycle helmets.  Daddy actually rode them:)

 We also went to Yankee Candle Factory and the kids got to make some candles.  They had a bunch of fun doing it and would have made more if we let them!

 We had lunch in Williamsburg and met up with Kasey and Adam and took the kids while they did some tours.

Random Post

 We've been busy with 3 kids.  Asher is in a co-op preschool where I teach every 3-4 weeks.  We've had lots of visitors also.

 I took Asher's preschool on a field trip to the library.  The kids were great!

 Aunt Julie came to visit from Utah, so we gathered at our place with all the local Crocketts!

 I also was in charge of the RS Super Saturday Craft Day.  It was a lot of work, but I think it turned out well.  Our theme was "Follow the yellow brick road" and we had 6 different crafts.

 I was able to make all of them since I needed to have displays.

 The most popular was the reversible holiday block set.

 It turned out well and was well attended.  I learned a lot of what I would do again and what I would change.  I enjoyed making several new crafts that I probably wouldn't have normally.

 The kids had a good time helping to set up.

 Asher can be such a fun big brother sometimes.  I love when he is willing to push Vaden around or let her ride on his back like a horse.  So fun to watch!
