Emmet is a happy or sad boy. There is no in between with him. He has an infectious smile that is so cute. He gets so excited about going outside, getting vitamins or apple juice, playing cars, taking a bath, or going anywhere in the car. He loves to be in the middle of whatever is going on, and constantly has Asher and Vaden laughing because he is doing something naughty. He is my high-spirited boy. We constantly have to keep an eye on him as he just goes and goes.
He is getting better about eating, though we still struggle to feed him some days. He just has to decide he wants to eat or that he likes something. I think he is getting his 2 year molars as he drools all the time and gets fussy, though I haven't felt or seen anything and it's been awhile.
He is a great brother. I is always trying to help with Kelen. He likes to kiss him and try and pick him up. He makes sure we know when Kelen needs help or that we get him. Of course, he also likes to get our attention by kicking or hitting Kelen too:) He loves to play with Vaden and Asher and will always be running after them. Asher will play cars with Emmet all day. Vaden likes to baby Emmet but she also fights with him over her baby's stroller and other things. Emmet likes to terrorize the kids by throwing toys, or running around with a toy high over his head making them think he is going to hit them with it (a legitimate concern as he has done just that frequently).
Emmet loves the water! I hate Emmet in the water! It is the scariest thing because he has no fear and no sense of self preservation. He just walks out deeper and deeper until he is under water, but he still tries to keep going. So we won't be doing too many pool trips this summer with him needing constant supervision and Kelen not being able to be left alone.
He has such a fun time though when he is doing something. He truly lives in the moment and loves life. He is my child that throws fits and pouts. He often throws himself or his paci on the floor when he gets upset and nothing we do is going to stop him from pouting. He lets us know when he is upset by throwing anything we give him and often screaming.
He doesn't talk yet. He only says "oh no" when ever something goes wrong, or he is bad. He has a little time out spot on the stairs that all I have to say is "go sit" and he knows exactly what he is suppose to do. I'm glad he does what I ask, but it's sad that he gets into so much mischief that he knows exactly where his time out spot it, and he's only 2!
He loves attention and we try to spend one on one time with him, but it's hard and we probably should try harder. He still takes a nap everyday, which provides some sanity to our household.
He is such a fun boy and I love him.
We're so glad he is in our family and he is loved by all and loves all of us.
