We traveled to California to vacation with my family. Ryan and I decided to go a day early so we could spend a day in San Francisco. But before we could enjoy San Francisco, we had to get there! The airplane ride was horrible. It was about 6 hours long, but seemed like 12. Asher cried a lot and just wouldn't sleep. He was so tired and has such a hard time sitting in one place, he didn't like the ride at all. It was double hard taking care of him because I didn't have Ryan's help. Ryan was sick and spent half the flight throwing up. Let's just say we were VERY happy to get there.

Our Day in San Francisco started with a tour bus taking us around to all the sights. The San Francisco Bridge was the first stop.

Here's a panoramic view from the bridge.

Here's pictures of the bridge, the peaks, the townhomes, Alcatraz Island, the pier, and Lombardi Street.

Our family at the famous pier 39 in front of Alcatraz Island (unfortunately we didn't have enough time to tour the island, maybe next time).
We also took the street car to ensure we got the entire experience.

The brakes on the street car were really interesting. They are just blocks of wood that the conductor puts down on the track to lift the car up. They replace them every 3 days.

I got to hold on to the outside:)
Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our day in San Francisco. We were worn out but glad we went. Hopefully we can arrange to spend more time there next time.
