Emmet at Home

 We have been home for a week and a half now and all the kids have adjusted awesomely!  

We took Emmet in for his check-up with the pediatrician and he is putting weight back on and is healthy.

 We tried to get a cute picture of the kids together, but it is hard to get them all smiling at the same time.  Here is a super cute pic of Vaden, but Asher is picking his nose:)

 Asher and Vaden love Emmet.  I thought there might be some jealousy since I have to hold Emmet a lot and spend time with him, but they are champs about it and love to help out.

 Here's a great picture of Asher, but Vaden is on the move.

Emmet is a great baby.  He sleeps for 3-4 hour stretches and is easy to care for. 

 When he is awake he hardly ever cries.  He just kind of hangs out looking around at things.  He is content to just lie there.

 At least until Vaden comes along.

 Vaden can't get enough of Emmet.  Every time she sees him, she acts like it is for the 1st time!  She loves to hold his hand or foot and just be near him.  She gets upset if Emmet starts to cry or get upset.  She will make a great older sister.

 Asher loves to help with Emmet too, but with a distracted kind of love.  Love Emmet, get bored and go play - repeat.

 The kids love to be together.  Asher and Vaden are always doing what the other is doing, so they spend a lot of time being silly.  One of the best things for them is when Emmet hiccups...

Hospital Visitors

 At the hospital we had some little visitors.

 Emmet is being loved right away by Vaden.

It took Asher a bit longer to warm up.  In fact, he wouldn't touch Emmet at all while at the hospital.

It was a new situation in a new place and just made him very nervous.  Though not nervous enough that he didn't discover the nutrition station:)

 Grandma Crockett holding baby Emmet while Vay gives him a kiss.  We are very glad that Grandma could come and stay with us and help with the kiddos.

Emmet is awake.  What a precious little boy that we already love so much.

Baby Emmet!

Baby Emmet was born today!  A big boy, weighing in at 9 pounds, 9 ounces and 20 inches.  Melanie and Baby are both doing well.

I'm glad that Asher and Vaden have each other.  They fight a lot, but they also play together really well and take care of each other.  Today I came downstairs and found them playing horse:

Asher was going a bit faster, and bucking, but we convinced him to go slower for Vaden.  So cute!
