Decorating Ideas?
In March my Relief Society is going to have a birthday celebrations for all the Relief Society women. I am in charge of decorating a table to represent the month of November. Does anyone have any good ideas I could use for decorating. Also, a recipe for dessert for November would be welcome too.

Books, books, books
I've been reading a lot of books lately. Okay, I'm always reading a book. But I wanted to post about a couple books that I really enjoyed. I liked the Books of Bayern Series by Shannon Hale. She is also the co-author of Rapunzel's Revenge which is a great graphic novel!
Also, another favorite series of mine is Emeralds and Espionage. Ryan just finished the third book in the series and I think I have him hooked now:)

It's a series that I have read before but am enjoying reading again. Those are my favorite types of books and the ones I love to own because I usually will read them again and again and agian. It's probably a good thing I have a library card and also our apartment building has a library that has a free for all policy. Meaning I can dump books I don't want to keep there and I can also take any that I may want.
Lately, I have been trying to listen to books on tape so I am more productive in my day. Does anyone have any good books suggestions?

Cabin Fever!
It has been crazy here in D.C. for the last week! There is snow everywhere. It started snowing last Friday in a crazy two day blizzard. Then we had a two day reprieve before it started snowing again on Tuesday for two more days. Ryan had a couple days off work, though he still did some work from home. But I just love it when he is home all day:) Since Ryan's work is tied to the US Patent Office, which is a government run office, his place of employment will usually close when they close. But not all the time, especially since all government jobs have been closed since last Friday afternoon until his morning. That is a nice long break. Ryan didn't quite get the same break. But a few days was still fun to have together.
Not many people leave their houses when is snows like it did. I can't blame them. Ryan and I went out a couple times. We walked wherever we decided to go because the roads are terrible and cars got stuck everywhere. Though, there's not much reason to go out either because most places are closed. Anyway, here are a few pictures we took after the first storm last weekend.

Snowy Days
It is suppose to snow 2 to 3 feet in the next day! It started snowing this morning and is suppose to continue snowing until tomorrow night. For Ryan and me it doesn't seem that big of a deal since we grew up in the west and dealing with snow, but I guess it is a big deal. Because it's more humid here and more wet the road conditions are terrible- icy everywhere. The worst part about that is that people here really have NO CLUE how to drive in the snow.
Yesterday I went to Costco to do some shopping and it was CRAZY! There were so many people buying so much junk. And listening to people talk was entertaining because they were all loading up for the storm and were planning on being confined to their homes for 5 days! :)
Anyway, I guess we are in a different part of the country now and will soon adjust to the storm-panic mentality.
