Update

We got our power back, thank goodness! It took 2 1/2 days, but now we can have warm showers, microwave popcorn, and bring our food back in from the balcony. Since obviously our fridge didn't work, we put everything in a box on the balcony since it was plenty cold outside.

No other exciting news really. We have 2 weeks until my due date! We are excited to be parents and I'm excited to not be pregnant. Everything is going well and the doctors never tell me anything other than how healthy Asher and I are. We did go to a birthing class yesterday. Now I know why I've procrastinated reading books and learning more because ignorance was great! After watching the graphic video, I've decided I really don't want to have a baby. Is it too late to turn back? There is nothing natural about that! I better get a perfect child after all that torture. Not to mention, diamond earrings, NY shopping spree, personal trainer, hair appointment...

It finally snowed

Well, we finally got snow. It stormed last night. We've had a few flurries before but nothing much, at least not enough to stick. Now we have snow... and no power!
I had the car yesterday so I went to pick Ryan up around 4:30 since it was already coming down and it took me an hour to drive the usual 12 min. drive. After I finally picked him up and we got home, we made dinner then went downstairs to get online and watch some tv in the entertainment room. Not much time passed when all the sudden everything went off including the lights. Ryan asked if I did it:) Yes, of course I did since I control all the lights in the building. Anyway, we went back to our apartment and could see out our window that some power lines were down and the cable box and post were on fire! So things are pretty messed up and we still have no power. And I guess there are lots of other places with out power so it could be a while before our power is back on.

Baby Shower #2

Earlier this month was my baby shower in Alexandria. Jocelyn Parks and Wendy Tripple threw me the shower and it turned out amazing. Here are some pictures.

The decorations and the treats.

Presents and people.

We also played games.

One of the games we played was guessing what candy bar was melted in the diaper. Not very appetizing!

Opening gifts.

I got a lot of clothes among other things and a stroller.

Thanks everyone who came and thanks Jocelyn and Wendy for putting it together.

Pregnancy picture

Here I am at 35 weeks.

I feel a bit stretched now. He moves a lot but instead of punches and kicks, it feels like he is rolling around and pushing me bigger.

New Year Eve's Party

There was a party with a bunch of our friends in our apartment buildings library and theater room.

Here's everyone getting settled in with food, drinks, and party hats.

Ryan and a bunch of the guys played our new Wii Party Game most of the night.

The rest of us played some board games and talked.

Watching the count-down at Time Square ready to bring in the New Year!

Temple Lights!

New Year's Eve we went to the temple to see the lights.

Ryan in front the all the lights in front of the temple.

In the visitors center they have a room full of nativities from different countries.

Back outside looking at the lights.
