Black Island Farms

 For my birthday we spent the day at Black Island Farms.

I love spending time with my family in the fall weather.  It was fun to be outside and let the kids have fun playing at a new place and experiencing new things.

 The kids loved the turkey and pig races.  They have so much fun being together:)

 There were lots of fun things for the kids to do.  They had fun on the swings.

 They loved, loved, loved the slides!

 My little girl was right there with the boys:)

 They liked going down all kinds of ways.

 They also had races down the slides.

 There was also a big chute slide that the kids did over again and again.

 Ryan took Emmet down the slides while I took Baby Kelen.

 It was a lot of fun.

 Asher was a big kid and went all by himself.  I love that my kids are growing up.

 There were also a bunch of tires for the kids to climb in and on.

 There was a bounce toy that looked like a cow. The kids were so funny because as soon as they got in they started bouncing and screaming about how they were in the cows belly and it had eaten them.

 The last thing we did was go through the corn maze.

 The kids had no idea where they were going but they had so much fun running around and picking this way or that.

 Kelen even loved getting down with the corn.

 Emmet always makes things so fun and crazy (or just crazy), but we love that about him.

Before we left, Asher played the beanbag toss for about 30 min.  He wouldn't stop!  And of course we got pumpkins as souvenirs.

Best Friends

I really do like that our kids are so close in age.  Vaden and Asher are 17 months apart and Emmet and Kelen are also 17 months apart.  This makes is easy for them to be best friends.  All four of our kids are all within 5 years of each other so they make a great group together.

 Emmet and Kelen have really started showing a lot more interest in each other.  They are still babies, but are learning to play together.

 Of course, this means they are getting in trouble together too:)  Emmet gets really excited when Kelen wakes up from his nap and likes to pretend to tickle Kelen and get right in his face.  It is super cute.

I can't wait to see their relationship develop as they get older and start doing more things together and start talking!

Here's all four kids playing together.  I like that they are young enough and close enough in age they they all like doing the same things still.

 

 Asher and Vaden are best friends too.  They've had a little more time to know each other, but they love each other.

 They love doing new things together.

 They sit together in the car and have the funniest conversations.  They both enjoy playing together, going to school, going to gymnastics, and playing with friends.  While they have their own friends that they play with, they also play with each other and their friends.

 They all love their classes (though Kelen doesn't take a class yet, but he gets to play during open gym).

 Vaden is taking a pre-ballet class that she loves to learn new dance moves.

 Asher is playing hide and seek.  He is in a sports gymnastics class that he loves to learn new sports and just goof around.

 Emmet just started a mommy-and-me class. He absolutely loves it.  He loves having some one on one time with me too.  It's at times like those that I realize he really is the middle child and may not get as much attention and he needs.  He LOVES the ball pit!

The kids all love to play.  Kelen decided he didn't like the ball pit after all because every time the kids moved, he would sink a little bit more.  Probably pretty scary for him.  I love letting my kids experience fun kid moments:)
