Asher's 1st Haircut

We finally gave Asher a haircut!  He hair was just so cute and soft that I didn't want to cut it, but really it was getting just way too long.  So today I finally cut my little boy's hair.  Here's the before and after pictures:
He is making a funny face, but you can still see his hair sticking out.
Side view.
I love that it curls, but look how long!

He was pretty good during his haircut.  Of course he was sitting on his dad's lap and getting fed fruit snacks:)
And after!  Such a handsome boy.
Side view, nice and trimmed.

All the curls are gone, but he's all grown up with a big boy's haircut.

Asher's New Love

Asher loves his new car seat. We love it too!

He fits so much better than he did in his baby car seat.

But his new love is his sister's bear (and boxes).

Asher loves to play with my things. He thinks it's great to wear my headbands.

Doesn't he make such a cute girl?! :)
He also loves to play with my make-up. Every time I put my make-up on with him around he wants to have my mascara, or lip gloss.

He is also into wearing my shoes.

I love this video! He is amazingly good at walking in high heels.

He will even go into our closet and pull my shoes out so he can wear them.

He's really good at helping when I put my shoes on too. He picks my shoes up and brings them to me. Of course, he stole them from me first:)

It doesn't matter what shoes are out, he loves to wear them and walk around in them. He mainly likes my shoes best since they aren't as big as his dad's, but he will wear Ryan's since they are usually the ones left out.

Easter Day!

Easter day was pretty relaxed for us. The Easter Bunny did come visit Asher though.

Here's Asher checking out his and his Dad's Easter basket.

Asher had a great time with the little Easter Egg Hunt we put together. He loved picking up the eggs, then dumping them out again and starting over. He was entertained for quite a while.

Happy Easter!

We took Asher to an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. It was his first!

When we got there he practiced by putting rocks and acorns in his basket.

Asher and Ryan waiting for the 'hunt'

Asher needed a little bit of a push to go. He was tired and wasn't into it that much. I think he was just busy watching everyone else and trying to figure out what was going on.

This is my favorite picture! Asher sitting in the field with an empty basket as the hunt moves way past him.

Asher finally got an egg (they had people tossing them to the little kids that didn't have any). He looks like he is thinking "I got an egg, what else do you want from me?"

His egg, with his rocks:)

Asher and mom!

Happy Easter!

A Bunch of Asher Pics

Asher is such a fun and active boy! We love him so much! He is so smart and curious and good. Here are just a bunch of pictures of his recent activities.

First, with the weather warming up, we've been taking Asher to a park nearby.

He has no fear, which scares us! He just goes up to a slide and jumps face first down it! He loves the slides!

Big smiles!

Going down the slide with his mom. This slide is actually not that fun for adults.

Asher as "Ghost Rider" for those who have seen the movie with Nicolas Cage. Those who haven't aren't missing anything.

The slides build up quite a bit of static, and Asher kind of needs a haircut.

He loves to swing. Such a happy boy.

We had friends from Alexandria over, and Asher got to play with his friend Reed.

Asher and Reed. The perspective makes Asher look even more like a giant.

Asher is growing up so fast. Sometimes he thinks he is a grown up.

He likes to help us push the cart when we go shopping.

Whenever we brush our teeth, he wants us to brush his, too. We now just give him his own toothbrush.

We don't do his hair really, but sometimes it just comes out this way.

When he went to bed, he had a shirt and socks on. When we went to get him, they were thrown on the floor.

And of course, Asher just being happy Asher :)

Easter Decorations

Last Sunday was General Conference and we decided to host an Easter Breakfast. We had all of Ryan's family that live close by come and some friends from Alexandria come also. It was good to see everyone and spend time with family and friends. We then watched the first session (which isn't until 12 here) with John's family. After they left we had a relaxing rest of the day being together and watching conference.

Here is Asher sharing his play pen and toys with his cousins.

My favorite talk was during the Saturday morning session but I don't remember who gave it. He talked about the difference between church and the gospel. Having both in our lives is a blessing, and we need to make sure that we don't confuse the two, or only focus on one. I liked that he pointed out that though we go to church to learn the gospel, 'church' is not the gospel.

To get in the holiday spirit, I made some Easter decorations for our place now that we have room:) It's fun to have our house reflect the holiday, and brighten things up with spring colors. Here are some of my home-made decorations.

Easter Egg Holders

Easter cards and Easter garland.

My "spring" sign

And of course some flowers to brighten up the kitchen.

I didn't make the flowers, but I did make the arrangements they are in:)

And our I added some color to our front room.

Okay, I didn't make the table runner, that is beyond my skill set. I did make the pillows though.

We are ready for Easter!
