Random Post

We've been busy with 3 kids.  Asher is in a co-op preschool where I teach every 3-4 weeks.  We've had lots of visitors also.
Asher, Jack, Matilda, and Vaden
I took Asher's preschool on a field trip to the library.  The kids were great!
Vaden in her princess dress with her princess baby that Grandma Haddock bought her.
Richard, Amy, John, Ryan, Julie
Aunt Julie came to visit from Utah, so we gathered at our place with all the local Crocketts!
I also was in charge of the RS Super Saturday Craft Day.  It was a lot of work, but I think it turned out well.  Our theme was "Follow the yellow brick road" and we had 6 different crafts.
I was able to make all of them since I needed to have displays.
The most popular was the reversible holiday block set.
It turned out well and was well attended.  I learned a lot of what I would do again and what I would change.  I enjoyed making several new crafts that I probably wouldn't have normally.

The kids had a good time helping to set up.
Asher can be such a fun big brother sometimes.  I love when he is willing to push Vaden around or let her ride on his back like a horse.  So fun to watch!

Emmet is 4 months old

Emmet is getting so big!  Time just seems to fly now that he is here and it seems like we have always had him in our family.  We love him so much!
 Emmet's Stats:
Height: 26.5 lbs. (95 %)
Weight: 18.9 inches (95%)
Head Circumference: 16.5 inches (58%)
Here is a picture of Emmet on his blessing day!  He is so handsome.
He was blessed to know of the love his Heavenly Father has for him, to know of the love his parents have for him.  He was blessed to have a strong and healthy body and to be spiritually aware and receptive to the spirit.  He was blessed to have an open mind and to have clear thought and wisdom.  He was blessed to be a good brother to his siblings and to enjoy his siblings attention, while being his own self.  He will be a good example and stand up for Christ.  He was also blessed to marry a worthy companion in the temple.  He will be a calming influence and honor his mother! (I particularly like that last line:)
He is such a happy baby!  He smiles all the time.  It so fun to watch him smile because he opens his mouth as far as possible when he does.  He is drinking more and gaining more weight.  He is sleeping well.  He takes about 3 naps a day and only wakes up once a night!
He is getting stronger and hold himself up pretty well by himself.  He is SO close to rolling over.  His legs are also getting stronger.  When we hold him up on his legs he can support his weight for longer stretches of time.  Lots of people comment that he looks like Asher.  I admit that he does look more like Asher but there is still a bit of Vaden that we can see.  He is more Haddock than Crockett in looks - at least I think so.  My kids look like siblings and I love that they do!
He talks a lot!  He loves attention and will babble to anyone willing to hold and talk to him.  He also laughs whenever we play with him.
He is such a great addition to our family.  Everyone loves him so much! Vaden still loves to baby him and loves to play with him.  I think she likes having someone younger than her so she can be in charge.  She is just so caring and sweet with him.  Asher also loves Emmet and takes his big brother role very seriously.  I think he was still too young to understand when we had Vaden, but with Emmet he acts like such a big brother.  He reads books and talks with Emmet.  He is so funny when he explains things to him and then tell Ryan and me about how Emmet can only do this or that because he is still a baby and is little, but he will grow bigger!

It's a Date!

While my parents were in town Ryan and I went on a zipline tour.
It was a lot of fun and the weather and timing was just right!
The leaves are just starting to change color so it was really pretty.
We also went in the morning and as soon as we finished the tour it started to rain:)
I've never done anything like this, though I feel like I should have at some point.
It was a lot of fun and it was nice to have some time alone with Ryan!
 I love my husband!
We also rappelled off the tower when we finished.
After the zipline, we went to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.
It was a really pretty place and fun to walk around with no kids.
We spend a little time here and had lunch.
It was a good day!  We should definitely try to have more dates.  I feel like I missed out on the dating, since Ryan and I dated long distance I didn't get to go on all the dates.  Hey, Ryan!  Wanna go out?
