Emmet turned 1!

Emmet is no longer a baby.  He's our little toddler now that he is 1!

 Stats:

Height: 30.7 inches (85%)

Weight: 23 lbs. 15 oz. (88%)

Head Circumference: 18 inches (50%)

 He walks everywhere now.  He loves to walk and hardly ever wants to be carried.  He is still learning to walk with shoes however. 

 He squats all the time.  It's his form of sitting and he is constantly sitting like this.

He is getting to be a good eater.  It took a while to get him to eat solids but now that he does, it is all he wants.  He likes to feed himself, but mostly he likes to eat our food and not baby food.  He has 7, going on 8 teeth now.  (4 on top and 3, almost 4 on the bottom)

 He is learning to do more and more.  He loves to explore and get into EVERYTHING.  Asher and Vaden like to show him new things too so he can get into even more trouble:)

 We gave him is first hair cut the beginning of July.  He looks so grown up now.

 He is a good sleeper.  He mostly sleeps through the night, sometimes he wakes up once.  He also takes great naps.  Though there is no consistency.  Some days he will take 2 short naps and other days he will sleep for 5-8 hours (no kidding).

  He loves to play games.  He can play games no matter where he is.  He loves to be happy and laugh and wander around.  Though when he's not happy, it's usually because he is mad.

 He loves to be involved in whatever the older kids are doing.  I think he gets so excited because he knows he is left out a lot.  He is learning that if I don't pick him up, then he will go to daddy for him to pick him up.

 He loves, loves, loves Grandma Haddock.  He knows that Grandma will always pick him up so he will always go to grandma no matter who has him or what is going on.

 He loves to be with Grandma because he always gets held and is put first for once:)

 He does love his siblings.  He loves to do what they are doing and he loves to play with them.  He loves playing rough with Asher.  Though at some point he usually has had enough and tries crawling away only to have Asher drag him back because they are having so much fun.  That's when we try to step in and give Emmet a breather.

 One more things that Emmet loves, loves, loves, is water!  He loves to play in water.  He loves taking baths and splashes everywhere.  He loves going to the swimming pool or playing in the kiddie pool.  He is even happy with the sink or puddles.  Regardless the water source, he loves to splash and play in the water.

 He's our water baby!

Emmet is so much fun to watch him grow and learn and explore.  He is a great addition to our family and I'm so happy he has 2 amazing sibling to play with already.  He is great to put up with a lot but also be able to stand up for himself.  He bites:)  or screams!  He loves him family and we loves him dearly!
