This summer went by so fast, but we had a lot of fun. It is great to have a home base and discover all the new and fun things to do around here.
Ryan took the kids hiking quite often.
He usually took the older two and left the babies at home for naps.
Of course every once in a while we would all go and push Kelen in the stroller.
We had fun at home too when the weather was too hot to go out. Here are the kids playing 'princess' with Vaden.
They get to do make-up and hair on Vaden and she loves it. So do the boys:)
There were also lots of 'sleep-overs' where they would just camp out on the ground in their room.
Baby Kelen has grown a lot during the summer too.
He's eating baby food now and crawling all over!
Emmet love being outside, any chance he gets.
Another favorite thing to do was to have picnics at the different parks.
In the middle of the summer was the Lawrence Clark family reunion.
We went to the Redneck Waterslides and had a great time playing in the sun and water.
Vaden on the slide.
Asher coming down. He loves the waterslides!
Aunt Patrice brought her dog and that was the best thing Emmet could ask for. He loves dogs.
While at the reunion we took a break and went and visited Great-grandma Parkinson.
And of course the kids had to ride the deer.
They love visiting all their grandparents!
And more hiking!
Asher and Vaden hiked up with Ryan and Aunt Amy to the fall's in Ogden.
They have so much fun with their dad!
They also get some fun pictures.
And some nature pictures.
The kids also have got to spend quite a bit of time with cousins this summer. We're grateful to live close by family.
The 4th of July is a favorite for the kids and the big kids alike. They LOVE fireworks.
And of course they love the parade and getting lots and lots of candy!!!
The kids also love going to Morgan to visit cousins and grandma and grandpa.
There is always fun things to do: riding horses, riding the lawn mower, hiking to the 'M', exploring on the dry farm, and getting free snow cones!
Here is Emmet following Grandpa. I love this photo because it really shows Emmet in true form, following his grandpa's footsteps and loving doing everything with grandpa.
I love summer and little kids:) I am excited for the kids to get bigger and to be able to do more on their own, but I will definitely miss moments like this when they do.
Summer time also means Fair time! We went to the Morgan Fair and the Davis Fair. Here are some pictures from the latter.
The kids loved the elephant show.
But when it came time to ride the elephants only Vaden wanted to.
There were so many fun things to do at the fair, mostly the kids just loved being there and doing everything.
They loved the rides.
Here is the 'elephant' ride that was just right for them.
Emmet would ride and turn right around and try to get right back on again.
Asher chose the race car.
Vaden chose the motorcycle. Ryan is so proud! (I think it had more to do with the colors and flowers.)
We also watched the Pirates of the Sky show.
The kids enjoyed it, but mostly enjoyed playing on the pirate ships.
What a good looking crew!
We also went to the princess show. The boys suffered through it but Vaden couldn't have been happier. This is just how things are going to be, so the boys better get used to it:)
It was fun to see all of Vaden's favorite princesses and get photos too.
Vaden with Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother.
Vaden and Alice.
The Queen of Hearts joined it, I'm glad Vaden got a photo of them, but she wasn't so sure about the 'bad' one.
She has 3 favorite princesses: Ariel, Rapunzel and Belle.
What a lucky girl!
The rollercoaster.
Too bad is was just a kiddie one, since Ryan loves rollercoasters.
More rides!
We also watched the Gator Show.
This was much more excited for the boys!
And finally we went to the petting zoo!
Asher and Vaden are getting braver about animals and will actually pet them now and try to feed them, though they are still nervous.
Emmet is loving it.
I think we could have spent all day at the petting zoo and Emmet would have been so happy.
We did have to remind him to be soft though, especially with the ducks. I was afraid he'd strangle them.
He just ran from animal to animal.
Vaden had a good time too.
I love little kids and doing simple things that bring so much joy with them.
Emmet leading the donkey. He just started doing this all his own. He is in his element.
