Asher's Adventure

A few weeks ago, Asher was practicing the doing the monkey bars.  Next thing we know, we hear him yelling and crying and freaking out.  (Now this is a regular occurrence whenever he gets hurt in any way- like scraping his knee- so we weren't convinced of how bad he was hurt.)  We went outside to check on him and once we saw his arm, we knew it was bad.
 Here's is Asher's broken arm.
He was so exhausted that he fell asleep in Daddy's arms while waiting to see the doctor.
Asher was such a trooper.  He just wanted to go home.  So after getting x-rays, and a splint on, and filling a prescription, we finally got him home to bed for a long night of comforting him a lot!
Here is his x-ray.  The bone had a 15% curve to it, but it wasn't enough that they needed to do more than put a cast on him and put pressure on it so it would help it straighten out.
Asher was so funny because he was so excited to pick a color for his cast.  He started with red, then green, then yellow, then finally settled on blue.  But old me if he didn't have any of those colors then he would be okay with purple, then pink.  What a good kid.  He also shared his splint with Vaden so she could be just like Asher:)  What a supportive sister.
