Vaden- 2 Years

 Vaden is now 2!  She is such a big girl.  (especially compared to Emmet, who is now the baby)

 Vaden's Stats:

Height: 34 3/4 inches (71%)

Weight: 28 lbs. (78%)

Head Circumference: 19 1/4 inches (89%)

 

 Vaden is currently potty training.  She does pretty well and only has a few accidents.  Though she will usually finish going on the potty even if she started going in her pants.  I am hopeful she will be potty trained fully very soon.

 Vaden loves the pool!  We haven't gone as much lately as it has been cooler weather and we go to the parks instead.  She also loves bath time.  She loves the water and playing in it.  Though she doesn't like to get splashed:)

 She can say a few words but is still not talking.  She can say things like: Mom - Daddy - yeah - no - 'kay - love you - bye - thank you.  She is starting to make progress in saying the sounds of other things, but isn't quite ready to talk.  I am sure it will happen all of a sudden and she is spouting off sentences.

 She loves her brothers!  She loves playing with Asher and doing whatever he is doing.  Or getting him to do whatever she is doing:)  They make a good team and I'm glad they have each other.  She is also great with Emmet.  She is a little mommy!  She gets her baby dolls and takes care of them just like I take care of Emmet.  She is always concerned when Emmet cries and she makes sure we know and that we take care of him.  She loves to hold him and hold his hands and feet.

 She is a beautiful girl!  All grown up and ready for church.

For Vaden's 2nd birthday we had a small family celebration at home with Grandma Crockett.

 Since Emmet was born the next day, we weren't up to a big party.

 She did get to have cupcakes and blow out her candles.
  These were the only 2 candles we had - 2 candles for 2 years old.  Of course sometimes she has the attitude of a teenager so it feels like she is going on 13!

 She also got to open all her presents.

 I love both my kids in the picture.  Vaden is so excited for her pony doll and Asher is so upset that he doesn't get any presents.  He was so excited for Vaden's birthday, now I know why.  He thought he would get presents too.  And he did.  We got him a pony and grandma brought him some new toys also.  Everyone was happy.

She is a great girl and loves all things girly.  She loves her baby dolls and to look pretty in her clothes and get her hair done.  She loves to play with the boys too and run and climb.  She is a great climber!  She is athletic, and is more coordinated than a lot of the boys:)  She loves to play with Daddy and Asher, but also help mommy take care of Emmet.  She is wonderful at balancing out our family and making sure we do girl things too.  We are so glad she is our little girl.
